I work in oils on canvas, self trained which means many years of experimenting, and lots of discarded canvasses! This has evolved into more confidence with the medium, but still always intrigued by the possibilities.
Bim (I love to use this old terminology) is bursting with colour. A jumble of shapes and an amazing mix of flowers, trees, skies, seas, rolling hills and gullies, and people; all of which I love to paint. My imagination brings them together, to create imagery which indulges in all that is the essence of Barbados, and the Caribbean.
I am a Bajan and have lived several years in the UK… now happy to be back home in Barbados surrounded by all this beauty. I am continually inspired by what I see around me, and I have also worked with several clients to create works of a shared vision.
